Sun Tzu Life Lessons: Powerful Advice for Success & Happiness
Sun Tzu values the importance of "knowing yourself." When it comes to life lessons, here is the quote,
"Know yourself and know your enemy, and you will not fear the results of a hundred battles."
Sun Tzu believes a general must have certain life qualities and a mindset to succeed.
Here are Sun Tzu life lessons...
In life, you should never rush.
Take life one step at a time.
If you are young, here is my advice based on the Art Of War philosophy for you to get ahead in life
1. Do Not Worry About The Future.
Nobody knows what the future holds.
If you worry about the future, you will be forever worried. So don’t worry.
Your face will be full of worries. Nobody is attracted to a person with a worried face.
My advice is to be like water. Water has no shape. Be formless, be flexible, and go with the flow.
Make the best of your situation. Focus today. Work your best today for a brighter future.
2. Don't Rush
The art of success in life is avoiding making grave mistakes that you will regret.
You can be successful if you don’t make big mistakes.
One way to avoid mistakes is, "don't rush."
Don't rush to any opportunity you see, whether you are looking for a partner, making money, or getting into a career or business.
When you do not rush, you will be calmer, relaxed, and have time to think through.
The law of nature is funny. The more you rush, the more you will not get what you want.
Lao Tzu said,
"Nature does not rush, yet everything is accomplished."
Work! Do your best! Do what you should; don't rush, and everything will be accomplished.
3. Find Something That You Are Good At And Can Make A Living With It.
Being good at something has nothing to do with passion because sometimes, what you are passionate about does not pay the bills.
You may not be able to make a decent living out of it.
You will achieve success much easier when you do something you are good at.
4. Learn Essential Living Skills.
3 essential skills are today's modern survival skills.
- Street Smart Financial Education.
I am not talking about bookkeeping and accounting.
The financial education you need to learn is how to manage your money. You do not need to make a lot of money to be wealthy.
Study how to manage your money.
And stop wasting your money
on stupid things that don't give you passive income or any return on investment.
- Negotiation Skills.
We all sell ourselves. Selling is not about being a smooth talker.
It's how and what you say. And your body language.
Whether to get your dream job, a salary raise, a promotion, or earn sales. It would be best if you learned how to sell.
- Leadership Skills
A leader can be an influencer, a coach, or a person leading a team.
People are attracted to leaders.
If you want people to follow, respect, and listen to you. You first have to develop leadership skills.
A fancy job title does not give you the entitlement to lead people. Leaders must earn their respect.
Learn to be a leader.
In the Art of Tao, Lao Tzu said,
“If you are depressed, you are living in the past, If you are anxious, you are living in the future, If you are at peace, you are living in the present.”
Don’t overthink. Do your best for today. Live for today and develop the skills you need for your future.
